PT/OT/SLP- Functional Claims Based Reporting- G-Codes

Functional G-Codes Claims Based Reporting is required on claims as of July 2013.

 What’s a G-Code?
Functional G-Codes are non-payable CPT codes approved by CMS that will report patient information on the claim for Medicare Part B beneficiaries for therapy services. All PT/OT/SLP's will need to make sure that the G-Codes are in your current billing system and that your biller knows about this and is providing supportive documentation to ensure payment. Starting in July, if the appropriate G-Codes are not included on your claim, it will not be paid.
